The TST 150 CNC is available with several different controls, one of which is the company's Open Architecture System. The GE Fanuc-based control features a touch-screen-operated PC platform for simple programming of plunge, oscillation, thread, non-round, ID, OD and face grinding applications.

Technical machine features include ID and OD grinding on part sizes up to 16" OD and 1,000 lbs, as well as cross and longitudinal travel of 16" x 20", which is said to provide dressing with a fix mounted dressing system and unobstructed part access for inspection while clamped. Both axes are equipped with over-dimensioned linear ways and glass scales to provide accuracy and rigidity for increased removal rates while holding sub-micron tolerances, according to the company.

Features of the flexible machine setup include one spindle; two spindles side-by-side (ID and OD/ID and face/multiple IDs and ODs); two spindle turret; four spindle turret with 90-degree indexing, as well as incremental indexing in increments of 1 degree; sub-axes for multi-spindle, simultaneous ID and face grinding and simultaneous ID and OD grinding.

The company offers every machine as a turn-key system. For high-production applications, the machines can be equipped with company-designed auto-loading systems that meet customer requirements and specifications.
