Big-Bore two-axis horizontal CNC turning machines are designed to manufacture piston rods and hydraulic cylinder bodies in one operation. Using the company's CNC turning cells, which feature material handling, live tooling and customized programming, the machine can handle bar and tube applications with diameters ranging from 1" to 12". In addition to the large collet capacity, the line offers 12- or 15-station, interference-flee turrets with optional live tooling available. Spindle speeds as fast as 3,000 rpm can be achieved. The AC spindle drive features 40, 54 or 80 hp. Part unloaders are offered to unload finished parts as long as 15 ft.
