Hurco Companies, Inc. is pleased to announce the success of their recent participation in the 2005 EMO show held in Hannover, Germany, September 14-21, 2005. Presented every other year, EMO is one of the largest international machine tool exhibitions in the world.
In addition to having the opportunity to demonstrate the Hurco product line to over 160,000 attendees, Hurco was able to generate a record number of product orders during the course of the show. "Unit orders for EMO this year are 57 percent higher than the last show held in Germany, which was in 2001," notes Hurco Companies, Inc. President and Chief Operating Officer, Jim Fabris. He continues, "Furthermore, 36 percent of the orders represented products that are new to the international market." These machines include Hurco's new TM line of CNC slant-bed turning centers, the popular VM line of vertical machining centers, new offerings in the VMX line of vertical machining centers and the VTXU, Hurco's 5-axis machining center.
The attendance at EMO this year was around 20% less than the previous EMO Hannover show. "We participate in this show to demonstrate the capabilities of the Hurco machine tool line," notes Gerhard Kohlbacher, President of Hurco GmbH (Germany). "To have such a significant increase in orders with a decreased overall attendance shows just how positive the mood is in the international manufacturing industry. Customers are willing to invest in technology and they're looking to Hurco."
