Mazak Corporation Canada is hosting a major event at its new Canada Headquarters and Technology Centre in Cambridge, April 2-3, 2008, from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. "Technology for Global Competitiveness" is an important educational opportunity for Canadian manufacturers and job shops who want to keep jobs in Canada and remain globally competitive.
During the two-day event, Mazak will demonstrate the latest in machine tool technology for the aerospace, medical, automotive, energy and general machining industries. Multi-Tasking Machining Solutions, increased productivity through higher spindle utilization, flexible machining capabilities and reduced set-up times all will be explored. The event will include demonstrations of Done-In-One production through Multi-Tasking Machines for various part components.
Among the multi-tasking and five-axis machines that will be at the open house are Mazak's INTEGREX e-410H II and VARIAXIS 630-5X II.
In addition, integrated automation like the Palletech Manufacturing Cell with an HCN 6800-II, a QUICK TURN NEXUS 200-II MY tended by a floor-mounted articulating robot, and an INTEGREX 300-IV S with a gantry loader will be among the highlights during the open house.
Other advanced Mazak machine tools available for demonstrations during the open house include the QUICK TURN NEXUS 350-II MY, the IVS-200 Inverted Vertical Spindle CNC Turning Center and the VERTICAL CENTER NEXUS 510C/50.
Leading tooling and robotics suppliers will also be conducting practical learning workshops.
Events like this, the first in Cambridge since its Grand Opening last May, are vital to Mazak's Technology Centre concept. It is part of Mazak's commitment to stay close to the unique requirements and character of the world's most important local manufacturing markets, helping customers implement the latest machine tool technologies and equipment for improved productivity.
The Canada Headquarters and Technology Centre, Mazak's eighth in North America and 29th worldwide, covers 2,044 square meters on a 1.53-hectare site next to Ontario's Highway 401 and is home to Mazak Corporation Canada's 30-person sales and support operations. It is also a vital connection to Mazak's exclusive distributors throughout Canada.
