Bridgeport is introducing the GX 1000 B boxway machining center with an introductory price of $59,990. Bridgeport says the new rigid boxway design significantly dampens vibration at the cut to achieve excellent surface finishes, longer tool life and the ability to take deep, heavy cuts.

 Features include 17.3 hp (13 kW) 8,000 rpm spindle, 2-speed gearbox option, 47.2 inch x 19.68 inch (1,200 mm x 500 mm) table capacity, 1,540 lb (700 kg) table weight capacity, 40 inch x 24 inch x 22 inch (1,000 mm x 600 mm x 550 mm) X/Y/Z travels and a 20-tool Automatic Tool Changer.
