Radan 5 CAD/CAM certified for Autodesk Inventor

The latest version of CAD/CAM sheet metal working software, Radan 5, has been certified for Autodesk Inventor CAD, giving users a 'seamless' integrated system.

Planit has announced that the latest version of CAD/CAM software for sheet metal applications, Radan 8.5, has been certified by Autodesk for its Inventor 2009 CAD software Sales director at Planit, Kevin O'Connor, said: "Receiving certification for Inventor 2009 is very important for users"

"As Autodesk's preferred sheet metal partner, it allows Radan to offer customers a seamlessly integrated system via its DTM link".

* Inventory reduced, material utilisation increased - Radan software significantly reduces inventory and increases material utilisation, offering a considerable return on investment in the cost effective handling of sheet metal fabrication requirements.

The Radan CAD/CAM software consists of the following.

* Radraft - a flexible and comprehensive 2D draughting solution.

* Radan 3D - a high performance and versatile 3D modelling package that simplifies sheet metal design and engineering assembly.

* Radprofile and Radpunch - combine advanced technology with a high level of automation to provide advanced CNC profiling and punch press programming.

* RadbendCNC - an offline programming package for a wide variety of press brake machines and full 3D model simulation of the bending process.

* Radnest - a highly efficient nesting package that integrates seamlessly with Radpunch and Radprofile.

Radan told manufacturingtalk that Radan 8.5 delivers maximum productivity and support for most sheet metalworking machine tools.

Radan 8.5 has extensive technology upgrades and performance improvements to deliver even greater levels of functionality when compared with the previous version.
