The tolerance in abrasive jet cutting from Kilner's Engineering includes up to ±0.2 millimetre 0 – 50 millimetre material thickness, up to ±0.3 millimetre 50 – 100 millimetre material thickness, up to ±0.5 millimetre 100 – 150 millimetre material thickness. The quality aspect in abrasive jet cutting consists if clean dross free edges with a sandblasted finish, no heat affected zone is created, minimal mechanical stresses are applied to the material, better finish and accuracy than laser cutting in materials over 12 millimetre thick, high levels of accuracy and repeatability.
