Ibag North American has introduced a line of high-speed spindles that the

company says can be used on vertical or horizontal machining centers. The company says its HFK 95 S40 spindles are rated at 4 horsepower at peak power, and 2.6 horsepower for continuous duty, and provide speeds to 42,000 rpm.
The spindles are designed for quick and easy setups, either manually or with an automatic spindle changer. The spindles are equipped with portable drive systems and quick-release connectors so they can be used in more than one machine. The company says the spindles adapt to existing 40 and 50 ISO or CAT-taper machines.
