CVW ENGINEERING says it is upgrading its manufacturing capabilities to meet increasing demands for complex precision machined components used mostly in defence applications.
According to the company, customers such as Thales and Sercel are requesting underwater mine-hunting, geological exploration and aerospace components.
The parts need to be machined in exotic materials such as titanium. CVW has invested in developing advanced machining processes to achieve the necessary levels of efficiency and quality.
The components have complex features like extended depth tight tolerance internal slots, and customers were imposing stringent process capability requirements, necessitating the upgrades.
The company is securing additional five-axis and mill-turn CNC machining capacity, and upgrading its quality certifications to include aerospace certification AS 9100.
