In 2009, Spain’s Fagor Automation is due to launch the world’s longest absolute linear encoder, recently unveiled at the BIMU exhibition in Milan.

The 4 m long ‘Motion Controller 300’ is compatible with the CNC manufacturers’ current marketed equipment.

The device consists of one single jointless module; is based on latest-generation optical technology enabling it to obtain data with maximum precision and measurement resolution, says the company.
