diameter in high-strength-alloy parts for aerospace engines and other equipment. Available with 40 and 60-in. X-axis travels, the FH40 and FH60 are VMC-style machines with Siemens encoder-equipped motors and drives for simultaneous 5-axis positioning of parts. A 3,000-rpm spindle, 65-amp power supply, and toolchange counter for simple electrode changes are standard. Swiveling heads permit up to 120° travel on the A axis and 360° in B. Both EDMs handle 24-in.-long electrodes.
