Cimatron is demonstrating its latest GibbsCAM and CimatronE software for CNC machining centres at the INTEC Trade Fair this week.

The firm says the 2009 version of Virtual Gibbs, release at the end of last year, offers "significant enhancements" for milling machines and CNC lathes, aiding productivity gains for precision engineering firms.

It has a broad range of CNC programming capabilities and gives high-quality surface finishes.

Version 9.0 of CimatronE is due to go on sale this spring and contains more than 200 enhancements and new functionalities for machining centres.

The CAD/CAM software offerings give an essential boost to productivity in challenging economic times, explains Cimatron Group Germany general manager Dirk Dombert.

"Our new software solutions allow our customers to produce accurate, high-quality results in shorter times," he adds.

Last month, Cimatron displayed parts cut on CNC machining centres using its software at the Indian Metal-Cutting Machine Tool Exhibition.
