An Israeli precision engineering firm which specialises in the production of CAD/CAM systems to help create discrete parts is attending a global trade show in Japan this week.

Cimatron Limited, which aims to help firms which create moulds, tools and dies through CNC machining, is showcasing its software at the Medtec trade show for companies in the dental and medicine industries which hope to produce parts for the human body.

Kobi Rosenwasser, the vice-president of the company's Asia-Pacific interests, said that his company will be demonstrating its abilities with a Roland milling machine and will produce hip joints, medical equipment and dental implants.

He continued: "CimatronE has proven experience in the global medical industry. We have been pioneers in three to five-axis micro milling and have an extensive experience in high-speed milling and cutting of special materials."

Earlier this week, Cimatron congratulated its partners, WIRO Toolshop, for winning an Excellence in Tooling Award, beating 320 other German companies to the title after harnessing the technology of Cimatron.
