More free CNC Appreciation Days scheduled
Due to a high demand for the free-of-charge CNC Appreciation Days it has been holding, a Devon-based precision engineering specialist has organised more dates for its events.
XYZ Machine Tools has organised the days to take place at its four regional showrooms in Blackburn, Nuneaton, Waltham Abbey and Burlescombe, with a "no sales pitch" theme playing a heavy part in promoting the industry and not its services.
Mike Corbett, the manager of applications and training at XYZ, said: "Eliminating the requirement to learn a complex ISO-based computer language makes it possible for a proficient manual machinist to learn to program a CNC machine within a day or so."
He added that the focus of these events is on making the most of tailoring the event to the individual, which in effect is the reason why they are limiting attendance to a maximum of six people from three companies at any one event.
The new days will be held on July 1st, 15th and 19th; August 12th and 26th; September 30th and October 14th and 28th.
XYZ Machine Tools was formed in 1984 and also runs a workshop in Glasgow, with the organisation being responsible for over 7,000 customers.
