A new range of coated inserts for external and face turning has been developed by TaeguTec.

Designed for high speed CNC machining of steel, the Alpha-AL CVD TT8115 and TT8125 inserts are suited for mass production operations because of their extended tool life, the firm explains.

"With tool life way beyond competitor grades, the Alpha-AL promotes an extremely stable cutting performance for a wide application range," it added.

Both new CNC tooling inserts aim to deliver customer confidence and consistent performance in long batch runs.

The TT8115 grade is applicable to high-speed machining of low carbon steel and low carbon alloy steels, while the TT8125 is ideal for lower speed and higher feed machining.

TaeguTec's CNC machining products are available worldwide, through a network facilities and central warehouse in Belgium.

It is headquartered in Korea, where it operates advanced manufacturing and research and development facilities.
