Tornos UK has announced the release of a new CNC machining solution.

The company promoted its Almac FB1005 horizontal bar milling machine, which is able to deliver simultaneous three, four, five or six-axis machining.

It is hoped that the Almac range will perfectly complement the current series of Tornos CNC turning centres and will "deliver unrivalled productivity benefits to manufacturers of high precision components".

Raw material or semi-finished components can be turned into high precision parts by the Almac FB1005, which is "highly flexible and modular", according to Tornos.

For end-users working in a more demanding production environment, the FB1005 can be combined with a C-axis for indexing as well as a B-axis for tilting and a W-axis for workpiece feeding.

Tornos added that the Almac FB1005 is the "ideal fit for bar machining business in the medical, electronic, connector, optical, dental or watchmaking/jewellery sectors" and adopts a user-friendly modular design and CNC control as well as a "compact ergonomic design".

The organisation was yet another partner for Delcam in its recent exhibition at EMO in Milan.
