Exhibiting for the first time at Subcon 2010, Central Grinding services has recently invested in new CNC grinding technology that brings a range of advantages for customers.

The Jones & Shipman Suprema 650 easy cylindrical universal grinder has has reduced the cycle times on existing work, and because of the easy programming and set up times has made smaller batches more cost-effective. The new machine also allows Central Grinding Services to easily machine exotic materials with complex forms and can grind multiple diameters in one setup.

“The machine is so precise we regularly work to tolerances as tight as 3 μm,” says Managing Director Carl Windram. “Exhibiting at Subcon is an stage on which to promote these new capabilities.

“Exhibiting at the show gives us an ideal opportunity to meet and thank existing customers, who are spread around the UK and to meet potential new customers.”
