Kyal Machine Tools is offering the Alzmetall GS1400 five-axis vertical machining centre, which integrates CNC turning functions and is suitable for all CNC-based tasks.

The GS1400 can accommodate components up to 1,400mm diameter with spindle speeds up to 14,000rpm standard, 18,000/24,000rpm optional and 50m per minute rapid axis travel.

Machine accuracy and rigidity is achieved by the use of four guideways in X, Y and Z axis.

A and C axis are driven through direct-drive torque motors.

The machine is controlled by the Siemens 840D CNC, which contributes to high-speed production.
