Education Foundation gives $48,000 to St. Charles Students
The Greater St. Charles Education Foundation announced it’s grant recipients for 2011. This year the foundation gave $48,000 to District 303 students in the form of grants to teachers. The 29 grants fund a mix of technology, unique programs and musical instruments. One grant funded $300 for a wireless AirSlate tablet for Davis Elementary and another $4,250 for a CNC Shark Routing Machine for East High School. Vex Robot kits, radio controlled robotic devices, were fully funded for $3,080 at North High School. In the current economy, projects like these would not be possible through standard school budgets. The Foundation is proud to keep these dreams alive through the grant programs.
Since 1992, the foundation has donated more than $1 million to benefit D303 students.
