On the first day of MACH, subcontractor CLB Precision Engineers ordered a VM30 vertical machining centre, the first of 11 machines Hurco sold during the MACH show.
The installation of two machining centres from Hurco Europe has allowed Lancashire subcontractor AandG Precision to attract more work and produce components more efficiently in fewer setups.
Hurco took £700,000 worth of orders at a recent Open House. The event was held at its High Wycombe showroom from 6 to 9 July 2009, and the offer of free training classes in programming Hurco machine tools was said to have been a big attraction. In total, 44 companies visited the show and 12 orders worth £700,000 were secured.
A free training initiative to teach precision engineering specialists how to use Hurco machine tools has proved to be a huge success, according to the organisation.
